About
My name is Holly Hume
-
I have been facilitating NVC since 2017 where I first developed a training program based on the book and companion workbook by Marshall Rosenburg. I have been enhancing and expanding the program since then as I am always learning more about NVC.
-
I am a believer in experiential learning, most people learn by doing, so that's what my workshops look like, a little bit of talking then a lot of hands on practicing and trying out these life changing techniques.
-
You never have to do anything you aren't comfortable doing, so no need to worry!
-
I have been described by my workshop participants as well as organizations that hired me as present, flexible, adaptable, good at holding space, fun, and that I move at a good pace for participants.
-
I believe that NVC is a tool (and a lifestyle) that can change how we relate to ourselves and others.
-
NVC can also change and heal patterns of abuse, and generational trauma. This is why I'm so passionate about bringing it to anyone willing to participate and learn!

Testimonials of Nonviolent Communication Training Participants & Organizations
"Holly has taught NVC several times for the Mir Centre for Peace and we have had consistently positive feedback from participants, who have described the learning as "invaluable", the tools as "essential" and the course as "amazing". Some participants drove many hours from other parts of the province to attend and said they would happily do that again." Jennie Barron, Mir Centre for Peace Coordinator
Examples:
"I can see how these communication skills will diffuse a lot of tense scenarios in my life and I wish I had learned them when I was younger."
"It's a great way to learn how to get to the root cause of so many hard to handle emotions. There's no judgement, shame, or embarrassment. It really strips things down to basic human needs."
'It's worth it to participate wholeheartedly. The opportunity to learn together and practice is valuable and NVC opens up an entire world of options for connection and deepening relationships."
